Yin targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and the joints of the body that are not exercised enough in an active lifestyle. Poses also focus on tight muscle groups, fascia ( the layer or band of connective tissue such as scar tissue or collagen, that lie beneath the skin attaching and enclosing around muscles and organs) and provides optimal pressure on these areas. The provided pressure allows for an energetic and emotional healing release in these specific areas. Poses are held from 1-4 minutes in meditative, quiet, relaxed, setting.
