Flow Yoga and Hot Yoga use all of Yoga Nowe’s unique components (refer to Yoga Nowe Details on the homepage)!
Flow Yoga emphasizes the importance of staying present and focusing naturally on our breath. We use the natural power of the breath to connect to movement. Sun Salutation A, Sun Salutation B or Surya Namaskar are three popular flow sequences. You will be guided through one of these at the beginning of class to find grounding and to start the “flow” of your breath, mind, body and spirit connection. What’s also great, is that during the class this same sequence will be used after a pose or a set of poses! You will become more confidant with the familiarity of the sequence and this will allow for a more fulfilling experience on and off your yoga mat!
Hot Yoga is done in a room under “hot” and humid conditions. The heat helps to increase an individual’s flexibility in the poses. The temperature of the room varies typically between 87 °F (31 °C) and 104 °F (40 °C). While doing hot yoga, your body is producing sweat because of the extremities of the temperatures. Hot yoga involves both static holds and flow, which both lengthens, stregthens and contracts your muscles, tissue, fasica and provides optimal compression on our joints and bones as needed!. During hot yoga you will experience internal heat and external heat, allowing for a deep connection with your inhales and exhales, as well as detoxing through the biggest organ on our bodies-our skin! Flow, Yin or both styles of yoga combined can be experienced in a hot yoga class.
